Hey! Guys Its Sunil here and here i have come up with an very Interesting thing, where Google Play Store has shown the signs that the 32-bits apps are gonna end soon. So keep reading till end to know about it….

Cleaning of 32-bit apps

Well Google Play has started cleaning its store databases where google has putten up a timeline where google has shown the complete process of the cleaning.

Google Play has set 64-bit requirement where on :

December 2k17 : The Initial notifications will be send to all developers that 64-bits versions of there apps or games are required by Play.

January 2k19 : Here Google Play will help developers by sending them the requirements and parameters set by them.

August 2k19 : The new & updated apps must have 64-bit version Exception for existing games which are using <=5.6.

August 2k21 : The Google Play will stop serving the apps which are non-64-bit apps to  64-bit capable devices. And all new & updated app must include a 64-bit version and no exception for unity games.

Android apps 32-bit & 64-bit

 This requirement does not apply to:

• Apks or app bundles that are explicitly targeting the  Wear OS or the Android TV.
• Apks or app bundles that are not distributed to the devices running on Android 9 Pie or later.

Ques: Well are you thinking that how to know what operating bit your android has?
Ans: Well then let me tell you that you will have 64-bit OS if you have bought your android phone recently where else if you have bought your phone before 2k15 then your android can be 32-bit or 64-bit.

Developers

In case you are a developer or you are learning game or app development the you can checkout the developers documentation to enable 64-bit architecture and for the test you can use testing tracks for testing.

Incase you are an game developer then the Unity provides the upgrade guide in which they have provided the complete details for the upgrade.

Or if you are an SDK and library owner then you can go ahead and Sign up and register your SDK.

Conclusion

If you are a developer then get your apps ready for the updates and if your not and developer just a normal person then don’t worry you will see the apps & games that are compatible to your device and incase you can’t see an app that was previously compatible then you can just simply download the older version of that app from google and enjoy!!
